March 1st, 2013 – Avian Friday: Harrier
Our gray Pacific Northwest winter skies have not provided much motivation to get out for bird photography lately. I still have tons of unprocessed stuff in the archives, but here is another shot of the Northern Harrier from one of the more recent outings. It’s a very heavy crop at about 75% as I was quite a distance away from the bird. The high megapixel count of the new Canon 5D MkIII still allowed a salvageable image with reasonably good detail intact.
