November 10th, 2012: Oak Creek Vista

Both times I visited Sedona, Arizona last year, I found myself spending time at a spot just off Highway 89A known as the Huckaby Trail. It parallels Oak Creek which lies a couple hundred feet down in an adjacent canyon. The view is very nice from here, but hard to convey the sense of place in a single image. This is a 2 frame panorama, tone-mapped in Photomatix, stitched in Photoshop and finishing touches in Topaz Adjust.
