May 1st, 2015 – Avian Friday: Think I Don’t See You?
Here is another shot of a Short-Eared Owl, this time from one of my older files re-processed using some digital art techniques that I’ve been experimenting with recently. It was captured during mid -day along the shoreline of Skagit Bay on Washington’s Fir Island. The bird had likely been resting on this perch for most of the day before myself and a couple other photography friends eased our way within range to capture a few pictures. We tried to maintain a comfortable distance between us and the owl without causing it undue stress.
