April 10th, 2015 – Avian Friday: One Good Tern, ….
Going back into some archived files again this week with a Forster’s Tern from Southern California. This little guy had just scored a fresh minnow near the tide gate at Bolsa Chica Wildlife Preserve. Bolsa is one of the premier birding locations on the West coast. No matter what time of year, there us always several different species of birds to photograph. During early summer there are Arctic, Common, Royal, and Elegant Terns in good numbers providing a constant source of in-flight targets. If you happen to be in the Huntington Beach area, be sure to stop by Bolsa to see some of the action in person. Make sure to bring your camera!
