February 20th, 2015 – Avian Friday: Lady Killer
This weeks bird is a female Northern Harrier. They are often found along tidal marshlands around Western Washington. They seem to spend quite a bit of time gliding through field and along shorelines constantly in search of prey. This girl was one of several I spotted while visiting Fir Island in Skagit Valley.
