November 14th, 2014 – Avian Friday: Color Me Gone

Usually my bird photography has a lot of color to help convey the beauty of the subjects. This is especially the case with male birds who naturally have much more colorful plumage than their female counterparts. As mentioned in a couple earlier posts, lately I’ve been interested in creating more artistic and black and white images for various different subject from architecture, portraits and landscapes. I’ve been pleased with results of bird images created in color so I thought I’d try a few more using monochromatic conversions. I’ve had the SilverEfex Pro software for a while and find it to be an invaluable software tool for processing black and white images.
