September 12th, 2014 – Avian Friday: Alder Flycatcher
Here is a bird that’s not uncommon in the Pacific Northwest, but one I haven’t seen very often. During a hummingbird outing earlier in the summer I caught a glimpse of this little one who would only stand still long enough for q very quick capture. Sure would have been nice to catch this guy on a natural perch, but oh well I guess a little luck is better than none.
