July 18th, 2014 – Avian Friday: Enie-Meanie Miny-Moe
This time of year is always exciting for me, but I’m usually torn between my two passions: photography and fishing.
I usually find myself out on the water much more than out in the field trying to capture new bird images. Both are early morning ventures so there’s not really a chance to double dip. Hummingbirds are here in good numbers right now and photography trips outnumber the Salmon chasing 2-0. Although that will be changing real soon :).
Here is a shot from this morning since I had the day off from work. I tried to make it a point to be out early enough before the light got too harsh. I managed to capture a few images of the Anna’s, but the Rufous was incognito and didn’t make an appearance.
