May 9th, 2014 – Avian Friday: Honkers

A couple of geese and a swan image to share with you all this week as we continue with the Ducks, Geese and Swans family. I really haven’t captured very many Swan images that I feel are worthy of posting, so I’ll have to keep them on my list to capture this coming winter. The Canadian Geese have been plentiful in Western Washington. So much so that some consider them a nuisance. They are however beautiful in their own right. The Pilgrim Geese are a domesticated breed. I happened to spot this pair during a visit to the farmlands of the Skagit Valley.
