April 18th, 2014 – Avian Friday: Mr. and Mrs. T

More Ducks again this week. This time with duo of male and female Cinnamon Teals. As usual, the make kind of takes the spotlight with his spectacular color. The female though is beautiful in her own right. I probably have some better shots of a male, but I liked this peek-a-boo, environmental view of him among the water lilies. Both of these were shot at Seattle’s Montlake Fill near the University of Washington campus (Go Huskies!). There’s a variety of birds to photograph there throughout the year. It’s one of the best urban wildlife refuges around Seattle. It you like birds it’s definitely worth a visit.
