Friday May 24th, 2013 – Avian Friday: Double-Crested Cormorant

I almost gave up on this weeks post as I’ve working two jobs for the past several weeks leaving little if any time to process any of my own images. Also trying to pull together several prints for an upcoming show at the workplace coming up next week!
Here is a shot from a most recent outing. These guys are usually pretty leery of people so most of the time I haven’t been able to get real close to them. A very interesting looking bird, particularly the color of their eyes. They are experts at diving and catching small fish and usually found around fresh and saltwater bodies of water.
