December 14th, 2012 – Avian Friday: Innocence

Although this weekly blog post is about bird photography, I can’t help but reflect on the tragedy that occurred today in Newtown, Connecticut. My heart and prayers go out to the families that lost their precious loved ones to the senseless, sinister, deplorable act of violence. As a parent who has experienced the loss of their child, I can more than relate to the despair they must be going through. My prayer is that somehow through their faith that they can find some semblance of comfort amidst the horrific loss. I have no answers for what has become of the world in which we live today, but I believe that only love can overcome such a multitude of sins.

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart”
Proverbs 3:3
