December 7th, 2012 – Avian Friday: Short-Eared Owl

Washington’s Skagit Valley is an area known for its abundance of wildlife species. Several years ago there was a good number of Short-Eared Owls near the Skagit Bay estuary at Fir Island. Keep your eyes open if in the area any maybe you’ll have the fortune of seeing one of these wild beauties.
