August 23rd, 2011 – Water Tower Stair

I’m always amazed and inspired by the imagery of Twitter friend Bob Lussier.  If you aren’t already following him on social media or subscribing to his blog,  I highly recommend doing so as his work is a great source of inspiration.  Many of his stairway compositions from the old mills in the Boston area are quite magnificent and I find myself wishing that we had such structures around our area. This water tower at Volunteer Park is about as close as I’ve been able to find so far.

  1. Wonderful leading lines; even the grommets on the wall lead us to the top of the stairs. You’ve managed to preserve the creep factor and teased us with just a glimpse of the stairway at the top of the frame. The blue light on the wall just enhances this mysterious scene!
