May 20th, 2011 – Avian Friday: Scrub Jay
Every now and then I like to experiment with tone-mapping some of my bird imagery. Not all of these types of image lend themselves to HDR processing and I have a tendency to try to keep it more on the realistic side. I went through my normal workflow in Photoshop with selective exposure, curves adjustments, localized sharpening and noise reduction. I then imported to Photomatix and tone-mapped the image twice and added the final touch with the Daily Multi-Vitamins A2 filter in onOne Phototools.
