May 14th, 2011 – Bokeh for Viveca

Today’s image is dedicated to Twitter friend and excellent photographer Viveca Koh. I just wanted to send out  a little token of appreciation to her for the inspiration that she provides to many of us.  I’m hoping that she will be feeling better in the coming days. Since I can’t send a bouquet of flowers across the Atlantic Ocean, hopefully this image will suffice.

The recent visit to the Skagit Valley tulip fields yielded a number of images, several of which  I’d like to share with viewers. I’ll try to limit it to a couple more posts and I may end up just posting a gallery of my favorites from the shoot. My trip there was late in the season when the majority of fields had already been picked over. Next season I plan on getting up there when more of the fields are still in bloom to capture a few sunrise images.
