May 12th, 2011 – Pocket City

Todays image was taken near Seattle’s famed Pike Place Market. There is an interesting street that runs between the Market ant the waterfront  called Post Alley.  It’s quite a nice and interesting street to walk from the Market down to Pioneer Square, which is a great opportunity for a photo-walk.  I thought of adding this to my “Sky Tower” series, but instead named it after an album I’d been listing to while processing it by one of my favorite saxophone players – the late, great Art Porter.

Canon S95, 28mm,  f/3.5,  ISO 80,  Custom Mode. Hand-held, 3-Exposure HDR.  Post processing – Lightroom 3, Photoshop CS5, Photomatix Pro.
