February 2nd, 2011 – Sky Towers – Chicago

Taken last spring during a quick visit to the Windy City, today’s image is part of a continuing series on skyscrapers. The earlier posts from this theme are from Seattle and Oahu.  There is a ton of architecture to photograph in Chicago both old and contemporary. This particular view of the Trump tower looking down North Wabash Avenue caught my eye and I liked the way it was framed by the vista between  some of the other buildings.

  1. I like how your eye starts out with the needle of the tower, travels down the tower to the closer buildings, and then the Park sign tells you to go left, which is exactly what the pedestrian is doing.
