January 15th, 2011 – Chuck Was Here
Today’s image is from a re-visited spot I had found back in November. I had taken a similar shot but with a lesser quality lens and only a few bracketed exposures and as a result the image suffered from chromatic aberrations and a lack of highlight detail. No matter how I tried to process it, there simply wasn’t enough information there to work with. I processed the tone-mapped image using onOne PhotoTools which is an awesome program that has a wide range of effects. Grunge, Cyberpunk, Golden Hour Enhancer. Blue Dawn Leonidis and Multi-vitamin A2 were the filters used in post. If you’ve heard other photographers also mention this program, it might be well worth it to take a look at their demos and webinars. The company recently recruited Brian Matiash as their Cirriculum and Education Manager and they are putting out some great products for photographers.
