December 30th, 2010 – Punalau Beach

If you ever visit the island of Maui, the drive along the North shore of West Maui past Kapalua is pretty special. The reputation of this road as being impassable or accessible only by 4WD is outdated. There are a couple of 1 to 2 mile sections where traffic is limited to one lane, but it is nowhere near the conditions of ten to fifteen years ago when it was actually dangerous. The biggest problem you’ll likely to encounter on this road is wanting to stop every few minutes to photograph some of the great scenery there.
