December 21st, 2010 – Koki Daydream

On our Maui vacation in October, we found this little spot off the Road to Hana known as Koki Beach. It’s a very relaxing place, one of those that just make you forget about the rest of the world outside of your immediate vicinity.

Canon 5D MkI, Canon  17-40mm/f4L , 17mm @ f13, ISO 100, Aperture Priority mode,  HDR -3 Exposures, Hand-held. Post processing -Lightroom 2.5, Photoshop CS3, Photomatix Pro 4, PhotoTools.

We ended up spending a bit more time here than we planned. While I was taking some images I noticed my wife was trying to capture some of the waves breaking on the rock with her point-and- shoot  camera. I thought she might have a better chance with a faster camera so I slapped a teleconverter on the 1D MkIII. She didn’t do too bad at all considering it was her first experience with a DSLR.

Feel free to comment below if you like what you see or have any other observations.
Thanks for stopping by,
