November 6th, 2010 – Road to Success

The Amgen Corporation’s Helix campus is a research and development facility located on a 40 acre site on the  Seattle waterfront. In 2004 it was a state of the art facility designed by Boston based architects Koetter, Kim & Associates. The landscape design is by Northwest’s own Murase Associates. One of the most striking features of the site is the Basalt stone walls that flank the entry road. Although the project has faced criticism for its waterfront location, it certainly is a very well designed and interesting project.
