The Longest Day

Here is another image from a new location I found a couple of weeks ago. This nice little park has a pretty nice view that overlooks the city, Rainier Valley and Beacon Hill areas. Because of its popularity, it sometimes is a bit of challenge to photograph from. Quite a few people tend to gravitate here at sunset to enjoy the view and it is somewhat difficult to keep them out of the frame. This image was taken on the day of the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year. Fortunate for me since I had forgotten  one critical piece of gear; the camera/tripod lens plate. I was able to rush back home, grab it and get back in time to catch the last  bit of light:)
