Cedar Waxwing

The Cedar Waxwings have returned to the area.  Still trying to get a decent shot of them, but their feather detail is somewhat elusive to capture unless the lighting is just right. This one was taken later in the morning so it not quite there, but I liked the shot anyway so I decided to share it.

Images taken using the Canon 1D MkIII dslr set on apeture-priority mode (Av) with  Canon EF 500/f4 L IS  lens + 1.4X Teleconverter, monopod. The exposures was taken at 700mm,  f/5.6 , at 1/1250th sec,  ISO 320 using Center-weighted averaging metering. Post processing done in Lightroom 2.5, Photoshop CS3 .
