Red-necked Phalarope

I had my first encounter with this beautiful little bird over the weekend. Two migrating juveniles have stopped in at the Montlake Fill. The plumage on them is very attractive.  I hope to have the opportunity someday to see an adult of this species.

The exposure was taken at 700mm,  f/5.6 for 1/800th of a second at  ISO 800 usingCenter-weighted averaging  metering. Post processing done in Lightroom 2 and Photoshop CS3.
