January 19th, 2012: Seattle White Stuff
We are in the middle of our first real snowstorm of the winter here in Seattle. Its causing all sorts of havoc with ice on the roads and trees, causing power outages due to downed trees and power lines due to ice accumulation. The Governor of Washington actually just called for a state of emergency. We don’t deal with these kind of condition here. Personally, I don’t care much for snow that hangs around for more than a day. It is pretty when it first arrives though and I was out in it for a bit taking some images with my grandson Darius. He of course has a totally different perspective on snow.

Hi Jay – wonderful photos – (all your photos are so incredible). I heard you were getting a lot of snow! We don’t have any in Minnesota – but now it is cold after quite a mild start to the winter. Take care and hi to the family. Betty

Great details in that top shot Jay! Great work.
I am with ya on the whole snow thing Jay! But, as you pointed out here, it does produce stunning imagery! GREAT shot, my friend!
What a pretty scene Jay, nicely captured.
I’m not going to show this to my wife. She hasn’t seen snow since we left Ohio in October of 2007
