October 15th, 2011: Kubota Pool

I’m keeping an eye out for Fall color at Kubota Gardens here in Seattle. Last year I caught the very beginning of it and missed the peak so I’m hoping to get few more images there this year. The Japanese Maples there are just starting to turn with the exception of the two in this image which are quite vibrant already.  I used the Sweep Panorama feature on the Sony NEX camera to make this image along with a tone map of the .JPG file through Photomatix.  Finished it off with a Vibrance filter in Topaz and a curves adjustment in Photoshop.
